Hahaha! I love you name by the way ๐Ÿ™‚

You should only pursue a career if you love it. It doesn’t matter what it is. If you do science even though you don’t like it, then you will hate it and you wont do it well.

I do it because I love trying to answer new questions that no one has answered before. It mentally stimulating and I’m always having to think. Everyday I learn something new and no two days are the same. I do it because one day, one of my discoveries may benefit the entire human race.

There are usually many reasons to do something and these are my reasons why I do science ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree with Jonny – you should pursue a career in science if you truly enjoy finding out about the world, having the freedom to try new weird techniques in order to see how something works, understanding connections between events and expressing that in numbersโ€ฆ (by the way, I’ve noticed that people who love understanding things but don’t like numbers much make for great artists!)

It is usually pretty hard work, so only do it if it feels more like a hobby or a privilege to be able to experiment around with things. Definitely don’t do it for the money! There is no money in this! None! (At least not a lot) ๐Ÿ™‚

Science is fun, it’s also a reasonably well paid career, though there are others that pay more. I would also advise people to do something they enjoy; after all, a career is a long time, and it’s best if you can enjoy it.
