Very good question. I haven’t really thought about it that much. Doing science is unlikely to make you rich.

But I would definitely go on holiday. Travel the world a bit, see different cultures and understand different people as much as possible.

Then I’d like to give back to the people closest to me that have supported me through my life. Give money to my family and my friends.

Then I think I would try to use my money to help people. Especially those that are ill and/or those that are less fortunate than us. Funding different charities and various research efforts (British heart foundation, Red Cross, Cancer Research etc.)

I would also like to look for areas where charity doesn’t support and create charities that offer support for those that can’t find it otherwise.

I think I would still love to do research (I do it because I love it, not necessarily for the money) but I would also pay for a personal trainer to help me train at the gym and then I would buy an Xbox One and a Wii U 🙂

That was a really long answer, thanks for making it this far 🙂

I’d buy me a fairly decent house somewhere nice, go on some epic trips around the world, give some money to my family, and probably just be a freelance science writer or something, maybe a part time researcher too, just playing with whatever science I fancied. I guess if I had unlimited money I’d probably set up a research institute to study neglected diseases.
