• Question: what would happen if gravity turned off for 3 seconds

      Very good question.

      Basically, anything that wasn’t fixed to the ground would rise: furniture cars and humans. But this would be the least of our worries. The oceans would rise and so would the atmosphere. So we may be gasping for breath for those 3 seconds and then when gravity finally turns back on, the oceans would come down and there would be Tsunamis almost everywhere. Many cities would be completely flooded.

      That’s what I can think of right now but perhaps there are other things that could happen too.

      Basically if Gravity turned off for 3 seconds one day, this probably wouldn’t be a good day for anyone.

      Not only would we rise, but given that the earth is spinning incredibly fast, I imagine we might rise at very, very fast speeds, even in just 3 seconds. So maybe we’d end up stuck out in space when gravity came back on!

      As Jonny said, it would not be a good day…
