As a kid I really liked Astrid Lindgren, and I loved the Harry Potter series as a teenager. Weirdly, between 18 and 20 I also had a crazy Shakespeare phase. I thought the language sounded awesome so I learned a lot of his poems by heart.

As a child I read lots of comic books (like Tintin). I loved reading. I read lots of books by Enid Blyton, Judy Blume, Paula Danziger, CS Lewis, Roald Dahl, and probably lots more I can’t remember. As a teenager I didn’t read as much, except all the ones you have to do for school like Shakespeare, and some of the American classics. I read lots again now though. 🙂

I’ve got to admit that as a child I didn’t (voluntarily) read books because I was more interested in computer games.
The books I had to read for school were The Hobbit and Lord of the Flies (LOTF). I really enjoyed LOTF.

Now I read lots of popular maths books. That doesn’t mean they are popular in the sense that everyone reads them but it means they are meant for the general public. They tells maths stories rather than just being full of equations. Ian Stewart is my favourite non-fiction writer. Otherwise I also like to read forensic thriller books. Karen Slaughter is my favourite fiction book writer.
