0 Question: How would you describe what a protein pattern looks like? Keywords: pattern, protein Asked by Imawolflover to Jonny on 21 Jun 2015.
Jonny Brooks-Bartlett answered on 21 Jun 2015:
A protein is like a string of beads. Each bead is called an amino acid, and there are 20 different types of amino acid. A protein is a long string of these amino acids which then folds up in a really particular way.
You can see an example of one as well as an animation that I helped create here: http://www.oxfordsparks.net/video/case-crystal-clarity
