0 Question: How do solar panels work? Keywords: solar panel Asked by JTM2003 to Alison, Hannah, Jonny, MarthaNari, Paul on 20 Jun 2015.

Basically, photons (little packages) of light knock electrons off the atoms in a material (usually silicon in solar panels), and these electrons can then flow – this flow of electrons is electricity.
