• Question: Do you think that it'll be a good idea to get children to involve themselves with science at really young ages?

      Definitely yes. I’ve done stuff like the bicarb/vinegar experiment with a 4 year old, and he thought it was amazing – he can carry that enthusiasm for science forwards. So I think it’s really important to get children interested in science as soon as possible.

      YES! At a young age children usually have a lot of questions that they try to answer. As a scientist my job is to ask interesting questions and try to answer them. That’s all we do. So we should encourage young children to ask more questions and explore and have fun trying to find answers to things. Whether that means blowing things up in chemistry labs or writing computer code.
