I wanted to improve the information available to dancers. In this case I’m referring to how we understand our bodies. There are LOTS of fads and myths going on in the dance world (and in the real world too). I wanted dancers to have access to scientific information about how bodies respond to exercise, resting, eating, thinking, dancing – all of it really. There is a lot of false information available, and sometimes the bodies of dancers are damaged because of that false information. This can be through poor diets, bad training, over training and injuries. I wanted to improve the information available so that dancers could have longer careers by looking after their bodies.
