• Question: How did life begin?

      There’s no real solid scientific answer, but there is evidence that there was life on earth 3.5 billion years ago. This first life on earth would have had to be very different to what we see now, because back then the atmosphere was still mainly carbon dioxide, and the planet was much hotter than it is now.

      The truth is no one really knows how life began. We haven’t been able to create life from nothing but there are people that are trying to do this.

      Some scientists believe that living things developed from molecules that could replicate, or copy, themselves, like DNA does.
