If it’s expanding it must have an edge, so presumably a bottom and a top and sides of sorts. It would be very very far away though.

That’s a hard question. We still can’t see all of space so we don’t know where it ends and people often ask: if the universe is expanding, then what is it expanding into? Truth is, I don’t know. I don’t think anyone does. Maybe more space?
