• Question: do you think there will be living thing found on other planets

      Yes I do, but I don’t think they will be living in the way that we understand it. They might not breathe oxygen or be made from DNA. But I do think there is scope for intelligence in some other form out there!

      I think it’s pretty likely that there are living beings on other planets… it would be weird (and a bit sad) if out of the millions of planets out there we were the only one with life on it! Finding such a living being on another planet is a different question… it would mean first of all managing to go to other planets that are many light years away, then recognizing such a life form that is probably totally different from the life forms we are used to… I don’t think we are capable of making that happen (yet?).

      After all the films we’ve made with aliens in them, it’d be pretty gutting if they weren’t real!

      Seriously though, there’s so many planets out there that it seems likely that on one of them there will be something, but probably very different to ourselves.
